Windows & Siding

We were brought in on this job to install new siding on a summer home and replace the single pane window with a double pane. We gave this home owner a smoking deal as we thought the upgrade was well overdue. We are so fortunate to be able to make the world a better place one house at a time!

Before we got started we did notice a few ants running around and made sure the homeowner was aware of complications that could bring. As we removed the old siding (plywood) we did find a bit of a termite issue. We replaced a few studs, straitened and treated the new wood as well as treated the rest of the house to exterminate the termites.

We installed new Hardieplank siding (a concrete based material) with a new double pained window (a little larger than the original). Then we wrapped up the project by applying a new coat of paint to the siding and trim.

A picture shortly after we had started the project. The old window is on the leaning against the house (left). We ended up re-framing this wall so that a larger window could be installed and to take care of the studs the termites ate.
